Lawmaker Fawzia Koofi Releases Statement on Iran nuclear deal

I welcome the nuclear deal with Iran and I congratulate the US, Iranian and International community leaders on their achievement. I am hopeful  this agreement  gives us enough time  to focus on  struggle against terrorism threats in the world and especially  in our region where Iran holds a major post.

I would like to remind our leaders that the present of ISIS in our region is a serious  threat not only to us but to the entire world.  With this new chapter, Iranian government has the time and opportunity to  play an effective role in removing such a threat and  reinstalling peace and stability in the region.

I strongly believe this deal will allow world leaders to work harder for a peaceful and secure future for all of us.
