A Sincere Peace Process wont end with a single tweet
The 40th years of war in Afghanistan exhausted us all. I as a person who lived in war my entire life, long for peace and would give it not one but a thousand chances to accomplish it.
I was one of the peace negotiators engaged in talk with the Taliban. The reason why we couldn’t reach a final deal is the process begun its journey in the erroneous path. It not only helped but made the Taliban to gain more courageous and morals fighting our army and targeting civilians as well as the US which the White House cancelled it with one tweet.
We could learn about Colombia. They made many attempts getting the communist rebels into peace negotiation. We are wishful to restart the peace talk. Taliban are fighting against Afghans they must focus on talking with us more than anyone else. They need to make us trust them, they should disconnect from foreign backers, respect our constitution and announce a serious cease-fire.
